Therapy Development in the Era of Team Science and Big Data: What Will the Future Bring to the Patient with Epilepsy?

May 17-20, 2015

The University of Utah Anticonvulsant Drug Development Program is proud to serve as host for a symposium entitled “Therapy Development in the Era of Team Science and Big Data: What Will the Future Bring to the Patient with Epilepsy?” to be held May 17th -20th, 2015.  The goal of the symposium is to explore how innovative breakthroughs in basic science can be leveraged by public, federal, and private partnerships to rapidly develop new treatments for the patient with epilepsy.

The meeting will be held at the Park City Marriott Hotel Park City, UT.  Park City is 40 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport and is a popular year round tourist destination in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, with ready access to outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, and fishing.

Travel awards for Junior Investigators will be offered to help defray the cost of attendance, with several speaking sessions reserved for those individuals who submit outstanding abstracts relevant to the session theme. Applicants wishing to be considered for a travel award must submit a relevant abstract and NIH-style biosketch in their online registration.

The deadline for application is March 17th.  Applicants will be notified of award status by April 3rd.
