Erin DowlandErin joined CURE as the Outreach Manager in 2013. She is responsible for maximizing engagement and awareness opportunities.

Erin brings more than 14 years of non-profit experience. For the last five years she has worked abroad in Jamaica, Ukraine, Hungary and Africa, leveraging her diplomacy and relationship-building skills while integrating into new communities. There, she provided sustainable capacity-building opportunities, strategic planning guidance and deepened and diversified income streams. Prior to her time abroad, she worked with United Way of Metropolitan Chicago where she cultivated relationships within a $6.5 million portfolio consisting of some of Chicago’s leading companies. In addition, she lead the organization’s first corporate-funded special initiative, which went on to receive the Ron Brown Presidential Award in 2007.

Erin attended University of Illinois at Chicago and studied Political Science. She enjoys traveling, volunteer work, hiking, and wine tastings. She resides in the Near West Side of Chicago.

 

 

 

 

CURE CURE is a non-profit organization founded by mothers of children with epilepsy who joined forces to spearhead the search for a cure.
