Julie MilderJulie joined CURE in 2011, first as a Scientific Consultant, and currently as Coordinator of Research Operations. Julie received her Bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in Biology and an interdisciplinary program entitled Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology.

She went on to receive her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Colorado Denver with a dissertation on the proposed mechanisms underlying success of the ketogenic diet

Through her graduate studies she found a passion for epilepsy research and is thrilled to be in a position in which she can remain active with the entire epilepsy community.

Outside of the office, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and their two dogs. She loves to read, bake, sing, and travel. She currently resides in St. Louis.

 

 

 

 

CURE CURE is a non-profit organization founded by mothers of children with epilepsy who joined forces to spearhead the search for a cure.
